Updates of SARS-CoV-2 vaccines are required to generate immunity in the population against constantly evolving SARS-CoV-2 variants of concerns (VOCs). Here we describe three novel in-silico designed spike-based antigens capable of inducing neutralising antibodies across a spectrum of SARS-CoV-2 VOCs. Three sets of antigens utilising pre-Delta (T2_32), and post-Gamma sequence data (T2_35 and T2_36) were designed.

In a prospective multicenter study of randomly selected, clinically stable adolescents and adults, we assessed relationships between 24 inflammation-associated molecules and the future occurrence of CF pulmonary exacerbation using proportional hazards models. We explored relationships for potential confounding or mediation by clinical factors and assessed sensitivities to treatments including CF transmembrane regulator (CFTR) protein synthesis modulators.

Nitric oxide (NO) demonstrates antibacterial activity against various bacterial species, including mycobacteria. In this study, we evaluated the effect of adjunctive inhaled NO therapy, using a novel NO generator, in a CF patient with pulmonary disease, and examined heterogeneity of response to NO .

Methods: We developed a scoring tool to analyze consensus in muscle biopsy reading of an ad hoc workgroup of international experts. Twenty-four samples from patients with suspected idiopathic inflammatory myopathy (IIM) were randomly selected, providing sections that were stained with standard histologic and immunohistochemical methods.

A growing body of evidence supports the notion that soluble oligomeric forms of the amyloid beta-peptide (Abeta) may be the proximate effectors of neuronal injuries and death in the early stages of Alzheimer disease. However, the molecular mechanisms associated with neuronal apoptosis induced by soluble Abeta remain to be elucidated. We recently demonstrated the involvement of an early reactive oxygen species-dependent perturbation of the microtubule network (Sponne, I.
