[Exudative laryngeal diseases of Reinke's space].

Exudative laryngopathies are represented by the nodule, the polyp and the Reinke's oedema. Their origin is found in exudative processes located in the Reinke's space. Evolution towards one or another lesion depends on the etiological factor (vocal abuse, tobacco, alcohol, acute vocal fold trauma) and can happen according three modalities: oedema, fibrosis and angiectasies development.

[Permanent tracheotomy in respiratory insufficiency].

Assisted ventilation at home for breathing insufficiencies requires long-term tracheotomy. Standard tracheotomy is frequently complicated by granuloma and tracheostomy stenosis. We have designed a permanent opening technique that we report on 9 patients.

Correction of glottic insufficiency by collagen injection.

Thirty-nine patients were treated with GAX collagen for vocal fold augmentation. The objective results were evaluated by measurement of the maximum phonation time, the phonatory quotient, vocal frequency analysis, and laryngostroboscopy. These results are as good as those with Zyderm Collagen II (ZCI).
