The results of kidney transplantation (KTx) in elderly patients are deteriorated by more frequent use of organs procured from older or extended criteria donors (ECDs). To eliminate the influence of donor factors on the transplantation results, the pair analysis method was applied. The study aimed to assess the survival, during long-term follow-up after transplantation, of recipients and transplanted kidneys, graft function, and factors influencing survival in recipients aged 60 years and older (≥60) compared to recipients aged less than 60 years (<60) who received a kidney from the same brain death donor (DBD).

Here we use hundreds of fossils with direct evidence of feeding to compare trophic dynamics across five vertebrate assemblages that record this event in the Triassic-Jurassic succession of the Polish Basin (central Europe). Bromalites, fossil digestive products, increase in size and diversity across the interval, indicating the emergence of larger dinosaur faunas with new feeding patterns.

Data came from registries maintained by the Polish Transplant Coordinating Center Poltransplant and consisted of the national waiting list, deceased donor registry, transplant registry, and the live donor registry. Poltransplant is the Competent Authority in Organs, with tasks related to preparing assessments, analyses, information, and reports in transplantation medicine and publishing and disseminating these results in the country and abroad.

In mid-2018, priority was introduced in the collection of livers by a team from a given province. The aim of the study was to evaluate the impact of changing the liver transplantation allocation system at the Katowice Transplant Center (KTW) on the number of transplanted livers and on the selected parameters of donors from which the liver was procured.
