Minitablets have been extensively studied in recent years as a convenient pediatric form because they allow successful administration even in very young children. Their advantages include easy dose adjustment by multiplication of single units as well as the possibility of drug release modification by coating or forming matrix systems. The aim of this study was to demonstrate the possibility of the formulation of prolonged-release minitablets with bromhexine hydrochloride (BHX) and bisoprolol fumarate (BFM) dedicated to pediatric patients.

Methods: This study followed the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology for scoping reviews and used the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses extension for Scoping Reviews protocol system. Studies were primarily identified through searching electronic databases including MEDLINE, Embase, Web of Science, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials.

Circulating Anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) is derived from the gonads, and is a mixture of the prohormone (proAMH), which does not bind to AMH receptors, and receptor-competent AMH. The functions of a hormone are partially defined by the factors that control its levels. Ovarian reserve accounts for 55~75% of the woman-to-woman variation in AMH level, leaving over 25% of the biological variation to be explained.

Although an initial case series suggested that use of statins in pregnancy carried teratogenic risk, a recent meta-analysis of controlled observational studies has failed to corroborate this. A large number of potentially beneficial uses of statins in pregnant women have prompted a new evaluation of the risk-benefit ratio of these agents in pregnancy.

HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statins) are contraindicated during pregnancy. However, it has been suggested that the hydrophilic property of pravastatin prevents its placental transfer to the fetus, explaining neutral effects observed in controlled studies. Using the ex-vivo placental perfusion model, placental transfer of pravastatin (50 ng/ml) was determined.
