Variations in hue and contrast are common in H&E-stained pathology images due to differences in slide preparation across various institutions. Such stain variations, while not affecting pathologists much in diagnosing the biopsy, pose significant challenges for computer-assisted diagnostic systems, leading to potential underdiagnosis or misdiagnosis, especially when stain differentiation introduces substantial heterogeneity across datasets from different sources. Traditional stain normalization methods, aimed at mitigating these issues, often require labor-intensive selection of appropriate templates, limiting their practicality and automation.

In hepatic flexure and transverse colon cancer surgeries, mobilizing the right mesocolon and precisely dissecting the gastrocolic trunk of Henle (GTH) are crucial. Previous classifications of GTH tributaries do not guide radical right hemicolectomy due to post-procedural anatomical acquisition. Traditional Chinese medicine has unique advantages in preventing and treating COVID-19, and Fuzheng Jiedu decoction (FZJDD) was reported to be effective against COVID-19 in clinical trials. To investigate the potential mechanisms and material basis of FZJDD against SARS-CoV-2, we performed SARS-CoV-2 target protein inhibition analyses and a metabolite full spectrum analysis of FZJDD. Interestingly, FZJDD was found to block the binding of SARS-CoV-2 Spike protein with the receptor ACE2 and inhibit the activity of SARS-CoV-2 3CLpro.

The coamorphous formulations have attracted increasing interest due to enhanced solubility and bioavailability, together with synergistic pharmacological effects. In this study, a ternary coamorphous system of polyphenols was successfully prepared, wherein baicalein (Bai) and resveratrol (Res) were constructed into a single-phase coamorphous system mediated by piperine (Pip). FTIR and ss C NMR spectra together with quantum chemical calculation and molecular dynamics simulation suggested Pip as a molecular bridge connected Bai and Res molecules through π-π stacking and hydrogen bonding interactions.
