Intravenously transplanted mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) have been shown to interact with endothelial cells and to migrate to tissues. However, intracellular signals regulating MSC migration are still incompletely understood. Here, we analyzed the role of Rap1 GTPase in the migration of human bone marrow-derived MSCs in vitro and in short-term homing in mice in vivo.

Amino Acids Frequency and Interaction Trends: Comprehensive Analysis of Experimentally Validated Viral Antigen-Antibody Complexes.

Antibodies have specific binding capabilities and therapeutic potential for treating various diseases, including viral infections. The amino acid composition of the hypervariable complementarity determining regions (CDR) loops and the framework regions (FR) are the determining factors for the affinity and therapeutic efficacy of the antibodies. In this study selected and curated, 77 viral antigen-human antibody complexes from Protein data bank from the Thera-SAbdab database were analyzed.

Understanding the Specific Implications of Amino Acids in the Antibody Development.

As the demand for immunotherapy to treat and manage cancers, infectious diseases and other disorders grows, a comprehensive understanding of amino acids and their intricate role in antibody engineering has become a prime requirement. Naturally produced antibodies may not have the most suitable amino acids at the complementarity determining regions (CDR) and framework regions, for therapeutic purposes. Therefore, to enhance the binding affinity and therapeutic properties of an antibody, the specific impact of certain amino acids on the antibody's architecture must be thoroughly studied.

Current preconception care practice in the Netherlands - An evaluation study among birth care professionals.

Objective: To evaluate the current practice of preconception care in the Netherlands and the perceptions of birth care professionals concerning preconception care.

Methods: We have developed a digital questionnaire and conducted a cross-sectional study by distributing the questionnaire among 102 organisations: 90 primary care midwifery practices and obstetric departments of 12 hospitals in the Southwest region of the Netherlands between December 2020 and March 2021. One birth care professional per organization was asked to complete the questionnaire.
