Empowerment in prevention: a qualitative inquiry into Black girl-centred strategies for reducing HIV/STI and drug misuse risk.

Black girls in the United States are disproportionately diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections (STIs), which can increase the risk of contracting HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), compared to adolescent girls of other races. Therefore, this study was designed to understand barriers to impactful HIV/STI and substance use prevention programmes for Black girls. Data was collected between October 2021 and June 2022 from twelve focus groups which included ( = 62) participants who identified as Black and female between the ages of 13 and 18 years old.

Onabotulinum Toxin A-Led Urinary Tract Infections-Should we Safeguard? A Randomized Controlled Trial.

Introduction And Hypothesis: The objective of our study was to evaluate the need for antibiotic prophylaxis for urinary tract infection (UTI) prevention before Onabotulinum toxin A injection for overactive bladder (OAB). We hypothesize that the lack of antibiotic prophylaxis might not be inferior to administering prophylaxis.

Methods: This was a multi-centered, nonblinded, randomized controlled trial conducted between August 2022 and September 2024.

A Review of the Prospera Spinal Cord Stimulation System with Multiphase Stimulation and Proactive Care.

Purpose Of Review: The purpose of this review is to describe the development and key features of the Prospera™ Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS) System, as well as the clinical evidence supporting its use. Prospera delivers therapy using a proprietary multiphase stimulation paradigm and is the first SCS system to offer proactive care through automatic, objective, daily, remote device monitoring and remote programming capabilities.

Recent Findings: Results from the recently published BENEFIT-02 trial support the short-term safety and efficacy of multiphase stimulation in patients with chronic pain.

The relationship between life regrets and well-being: a systematic review.

Introduction: The aim of the current study is to examine the association between life regret and well-being, through a systematic review.

Methods: Four different databases (PsycINFO, Web of Science, ProQuest, Dissertations & Theses Global, and ERIC) were used to source 31 relevant articles, published between 1989 and 2018.

Results: We conclude that experiencing greater life regret is associated with negative effects on various aspects of well-being, such as life satisfaction and depressive symptoms.

The relationship between symptoms and regurgitant severity in primary mitral regurgitation: a cardiovascular magnetic resonance study.

In the ACC/AHA guidelines, the presence of symptoms plays a central role in determining timing surgery in primary mitral regurgitation (MR). Studies have shown a disconnect between the severity of MR and symptoms. The purpose of this study is to assess risk factors for symptoms in patients with chronic primary MR.
