Involuntary remembering and ADHD: Do individuals with ADHD symptoms experience high volumes of involuntary memories in everyday life?

Spontaneous mind wandering has been implicated as a feature of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and researchers have wondered if spontaneous remembering is also a feature of ADHD. In this study, we compared spontaneous cognition, principally involuntary autobiographical memories, in participants who scored inside the ADHD range on BAARS-IV to those who scored outside of the ADHD range. In Study 1, participants reported their involuntary memories and spontaneous thoughts on a laboratory measure of involuntary memory (the vigilance task), as well as estimated their daily involuntary memory frequencies on a separate questionnaire.

Case Report: Radiopharmaceutical extravasation, radiation paranoia, and chilling effect.

The Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (SNMMI) has publicly commented that they do not support the reporting of large extravasations to patients or regulatory bodies. The comment cites recently published articles suggesting that extravasations are infrequent and not severe. The comment stresses the importance of ensuring patients are not apprehensive or resistant to nuclear medicine procedures because of "radiation paranoia" and a "chilling effect" that can result from misinformation.

Impact of sinus surgery in people with cystic fibrosis and chronic rhinosinusitis in the era of highly effective modulator therapy: Protocol for a prospective observational study.

Introduction: Cystic fibrosis (CF) is commonly complicated by chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS). Despite highly effective management options, CRS in people with CF (PwCF+CRS) may be refractory to medical therapy, eventually requiring endoscopic sinus surgery. The impact of sinus surgery on pulmonary, quality of life (QOL), and other outcomes in PwCF+CRS in the expanding era of highly effective modulator therapy has not been fully elucidated.
