To date, the human health protection benefits of treatment wetlands have not been rigorously quantified in the context of current human health risk frameworks.

Research using conditioning paradigms has explored the effects of state (transient arousal) and trait anxiety (anxiety as an aspect of personality) on threat learning and acquisition. However, results are mixed, and little is known regarding why some individuals do not learn to discriminate between threat and safety during contextual conditioning.

Methods: To assess the impact of the Johns Hopkins Center for AIDS Research Generation Tomorrow Summer Health Disparities Scholars (GTSHDS) program on students' empathy toward individuals living with substance use disorder and differential impact on empathy related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Attitudes towards Mental Illness Questionnaire (AMIQ), an assessment of stigmatizing attitudes, was administered. Preprogram and postprogram participation AMIQ survey data were compared using paired t tests to explore changes within the program year.

The identification of specific Pb sources provides valuable information to determine assignment of liability for site cleanup, improve sampling plans and develop remedial strategies. This paper examines Pb concentrations and Pb isotopic data from samples collected at and near the site of a Pb paint production facility with a long operating history.
