Importance: Fenestrated and branched endovascular aortic repairs (F/BEVAR) have been adopted by many centers. However, national trends of F/BEVAR use remain unclear, particularly at sites who perform them without an US Food and Drug Adminstration (FDA)-approved investigational device exemption (IDE).
Objective: To quantify the use of F/BEVAR in the US and to determine if mortality was different at IDE vs non-IDE sites.
New drugs for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) are emerging rapidly. However, we and others believe these drugs are achieving regulatory approval prematurely. It is the cardiorespiratory complications of DMD that cause the disease's major morbidities and that determine survival.

Beta-tricalcium phosphate (TCP) bone tissue engineering (BTE) scaffolds were fabricated with multiscale porosity: (i) macropores from direct ink writing (DIW, a material extrusion 3D printing technique), (ii) micropores from oil templating, and (iii) smaller micropores from partial sintering. The hierarchically porous scaffolds possessed a total porosity of 58-70 %, comprising 54-63 % interconnected open pores.

This paper investigates sustainable cellulose nanocrystal (CNC) films for packaging applications. CNC films are transparent and provide an excellent barrier against oxygen with moderate performance against water vapor.
