Case: A 61-year-old woman with lower back and radicular leg pain underwent minimally invasive spinal fusion at L5-S1. By postoperative day 6, she exhibited erythema, wound dehiscence, and necrotic changes. Although a necrotizing infection was initially suspected, multiple debridements and antibiotic therapy failed to improve her condition.

- Pharmacogenomics (PGx) is a growing field in developing countries, particularly in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), but research and information are limited, making it challenging to apply findings across diverse populations.
- The study reviewed PGx knowledge among the LAC scientific community, identified barriers to its clinical use, and surveyed 106 professionals to evaluate these obstacles, revealing that the primary barrier is the lack of guidelines for implementing PGx in practice.
- Despite these challenges, LAC has contributed 3.44% of global PGx publications and identified gene/drug pairs, such as tamoxifen and clopidogrel, as significant for improving genomic medicine responses, although cost-effectiveness concerns remain a critical issue.

Material And Methods: A retrospective review of 61 keloids in 51 patients treated with perioperative interstitial HDR-BT was performed. Keloid lesions were treated with 12 Gy in 4 fractions within 48 hours.
Southern corn leaf blight (SCLB) is one of the most important corn leaf diseases. Appropriate management strategies and the use of resistant cultivars allow disease control. Therefore, knowing the aspects related to the pathogen and the response of hosts makes it possible to design efficient strategies for selecting genotypes resistant to this disease.
