Background: In addition to storing patient data, health information systems (HISs) should advance continuity and quality of care by supporting collaboration between physicians and registered nurses (RNs). Our aim was to study how physicians and RNs experience this support and how the situation has evolved from 2010 to 2023.

Methods: Nationwide usability-focused cross-sectional surveys were conducted among Finnish physicians in 2010, 2014, 2017, and 2021 and RNs in 2017, 2020, and 2023.

Background: The integration of information systems in health care and social welfare organizations has brought significant changes in patient and client care. This integration is expected to offer numerous benefits, but simultaneously the implementation of health information systems and client information systems can also introduce added stress due to the increased time and effort required by professionals.

Objective: This study aimed to examine whether professional groups and the factors that contribute to successful implementation (participation in information systems development and satisfaction with software providers' development work) are associated with the well-being of health care and social welfare professionals.

The Nordic Countries are seen as forerunners in the field of digital health technologies and national implementation has been guided by sector specific strategies for many years. In the context of new European legislation such as the European Health Data Space (EHDS), a review of the existing strategies is indicated. The objective of this policy analysis is to assess and compare the scope, ambitions and extent of accountability in national-level digital health policies in the Nordic countries.

Unexpected downtime and long response times of electronic health record (EHR) systems not only impact user satisfaction and clinicians' work efficiency but also bring about potential harm for patients. Despite improvements in the performance of EHR systems' architecture, hardware, and networks, technical challenges continue to cause problems. We explored the end-user experiences of EHR technical functionality and quality from four large national cross-sectional surveys conducted among Finnish physicians in 2010-21.

Background: Chronic kidney disease affects 10% of the population worldwide, and the number of patients receiving treatment for end-stage kidney disease is forecasted to increase. Therefore, there is a pressing need for innovative digital solutions that increase the efficiency of care and improve patients' quality of life. The aim of the eHealth in Home Dialysis project is to create a novel eHealth solution, called eC4Me, to facilitate predialysis and home dialysis care for patients with chronic kidney disease.
