Charcot arthropathy of the spine is a neuropathic affectation of the spine, it is considered rare, has a destructive and progressive evolution. It is usually due to a previous traumatic injury, but it has also been described as secondary to other infectious or tumoural processes. Initially, surgical treatment has always been considered for possible complications such as pain control and trunk instability.
