Efficacy of OK-432 sclerotherapy in treatment of lymphatic malformations: long-term follow-up results.

Lymphatic malformations (LMs) are rare congenital tumors of the lymphatic system often affecting the head and neck area. Because of cosmetic and functional symptoms most patients need to be treated. Traditionally surgical treatment has been considered to be the first-line treatment for LM.

How we do it: regular infusion of local anaesthetic in the pedicle of pectoralis major myocutaneous flap to shorten hospitalization of surgically treated head and neck cancer patients.

Keypoints *Regular infusion of the flap with local anaesthetic for 6 days postoperative via an indwelling catheter is easy. *It does not cause any complications. *It shortens hospitalization by 7 days.

The C-terminal half of Hsp90 is responsible for its cytoplasmic localization.

With some exceptions, research so far has shown heat shock protein (Hsp) 90 to be a cytoplasmic protein. Here, we studied the sequence determinants which dictate the subcellular localization of Hsp90. By constructing hybrid molecules between a nuclear protein, progesterone receptor (PR), and parts of Hsp90, we demonstrated that the C-terminal but not the N-terminal half of Hsp90 can prevent nuclear translocation of the PR.
