Atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease remains a major health issue, often developing silently as subclinical atherosclerotic disease (SAD). The Mediterranean diet (MDiet) is known for its cardiovascular benefits, but the combined influence of both MDiet adherence and physical activity (PA) on SAD progression has not been previously documented. We aimed to investigate how adherence to a healthy lifestyle, defined as MDiet adherence and PA level, influences SAD progression in subjects from the ILERVAS cohort follow-up.

A series of rhenium and manganese carbonyl complexes of a heteroscorpionate ligand with an atypical NP-donor set has been prepared to better understand their electronic and CO releasing properties. Thus, the ligand, pzTTP, with an ,-bis(pyrazol-1-yl)tolyl group decorated with an -situated di(-tolyl)phosphanyl reacts with carbonyl group 17 reagents to give [-(κNP-pzTTP)Re(CO)Br], 1, and [-(κNP-pzTTP)M(CO)](OTf = OSCF), 2-M (M = Re, Mn), if care is taken during the preparation of the manganeses derivative. When heated in CHCN, 2-Mn slowly transforms to [,-(κNP-pzTTP)Mn(CO)(NCCH)](OTf), 3-Mn.

Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is associated with high rates of cardiovascular events. We here explored whether the recently described triglycerides-glucose index (TyG) predicted the incidence of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) in these patients.

Methods: This observationa study was undertaken of 1142 persons with CKD and free from diabetes and 460 controls from the prospective NEFRONA study.
