Background: The diagnosis of fibrotic hypersensitivity pneumonitis (fHP) from other interstitial lung diseases, particularly idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), is often difficult. This study aimed to examine computed tomography (CT) findings that were useful for differentiating between fHP and IPF and to develop and validate a radiological diagnostic model.

Methods: In this study, 246 patients (fHP, n = 104; IPF, n = 142) from two institutions were included and randomly divided into the test (n = 164) and validation (n = 82) groups (at a 2:1 ratio).

Introduction: This study aimed to determine and compare the effectiveness of the use of the dual-dimensional archwire and conventional rectangular archwire on tooth movement patterns when combined with various lengths of power arms.

Methods: Displacements of the maxillary central incisor and the deformation of the wire section were calculated when applying retraction forces from different lengths of power arms using the finite element method.

Results: Torque control of the incisor could be carried out more effectively when using the dual-dimensional archwire combined with long power arms than with the rectangular archwire.

Recent advancements in computed tomography (CT) scanning have improved the detection rates of peripheral pulmonary nodules, including those with ground-glass opacities (GGOs). This study focuses on part-solid pure ground-glass nodules (GGNs) and aims to identify imaging predictors that can reliably differentiate primary lung cancer from nodules with other diagnoses among part-solid GGNs on high-resolution CT (HRCT). A retrospective study was conducted on 609 patients who underwent surgical treatment or observation for lung nodules.
