The dynamic locking blade plate: seven-year follow-up results of 389 patients with a femoral neck fracture.

Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the long-term outcomes of patients with a femoral neck fracture (FNF), treated with the Dynamic Locking Blade Plate (DLBP).

Methods: Retrospective analysis of prospectively collected data of a multicentre cohort of patients with FNFs was conducted, regarding the long-term incidence of revision surgery after DLBP. Implant failure was evaluated using Kaplan-Meier and Cox regression analysis.

Right Ventricular Function and Long-Term Outcome in Sepsis: A Retrospective Cohort Study.

Background: Sepsis-related myocardial dysfunction is associated with impaired outcome. Traditionally, in this setting the main focus has been on left ventricular performance. Currently, specific knowledge on the prognostic importance of right ventricular dysfunction is scarce.

Displaced femoral neck fractures in patients 60 years of age or younger: results of internal fixation with the dynamic locking blade plate.

Aims: The objective of this study was to investigate bone healing after internal fixation of displaced femoral neck fractures (FNFs) with the Dynamic Locking Blade Plate (DLBP) in a young patient population treated by various orthopaedic (trauma) surgeons.

Patients And Methods: We present a multicentre prospective case series with a follow-up of one year. All patients aged ≤ 60 years with a displaced FNF treated with the DLBP between 1st August 2010 and December 2014 were included.

Pancreatic injury in children: good outcome of nonoperative treatment.

Purpose: Treatment of blunt injury of the pancreas in children remains controversial. Some prefer nonoperative treatment, whereas others prefer operative management in selected cases. This report reviews the treatment of patients with blunt pancreatic trauma admitted to a level I pediatric trauma center in The Netherlands.
