A growing body of research predicts individual cognitive ability levels from brain characteristics including functional brain connectivity. The majority of this research achieves statistically significant prediction performance but provides limited insight into neurobiological processes underlying the predicted concepts. The insufficient identification of predictive brain characteristics may present an important factor critically contributing to this constraint.

Background: Previous studies have defined clinical phenotypes of allergic rhinitis (AR) after allergen exposure using the time course of the total nasal symptom score (TNSS).
Objective: To validate previously proposed AR phenotypes across different allergens (birch, grass, ragweed, and house dust mite) after exposure in the environmental exposure unit.
Methods: The Analyzing Phenotypes Post-Exposure in Allergic Rhinitis (APPEAR) database comprises 153 participants from environmental exposure unit studies conducted between 2010 and 2021 by Kingston Allergy Research.
Concentration gradients of soluble signaling molecules-morphogens-determine the cellular organization in tissue development. Morphogen-releasing microgels have shown potential to recapitulate this principle in engineered tissue constructs, however, with limited control over the molecular cues in space and time. Inspired by the functionality of sulfated glycosaminoglycans (sGAGs) in morphogen signaling in vivo, a library of sGAG-based microgels is developed and designated as µGel Units to Instruct Development (µGUIDEs).

To investigate the frequency and quality of their sun protective behaviors, a web-based, anonymous survey was conducted among tennis players at high school varsity matches and United States Tennis Association tournaments in Southern California. Although 92.

GNRs were functionalized with bovine serum albumin and mixed with a photosensitizer and poly(-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) macromer, forming an ink for 3D printing by direct ink writing. A macromer-based approach was chosen to provide good microstructural homogeneity and optical transparency of the unloaded hydrogel in its swollen state.
