Unilateral Pulmonary Agenesis about a Case Revealed by an Acute Respiratory Infection in a Young Infant.

Pulmonary agenesis is a rare congenital anomaly of unknown cause, consisting of a complete absence of the lung parenchyma, bronchi, and vascularization. It may or not be associated with other malformations. The authors report a case of right pulmonary agenesis diagnosed in a four-month-old infant who had no previous pathological history and was growing well.

Medial patellofemoral ligament reconstruction with autologous gracilis tendon: Clinical and radiological outcomes at a mean 6 years of follow up.

Background: The medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) is considered the primary soft tissue restrain to lateral translation of the patella during the first 15-30 degrees of knee flexion. The primary restraint thereafter is the slope of the lateral wall of the trochlea. A plenty of procedures are described in literature for MPFL reconstruction with different types of graft, angle of knee flexion for fixation and rehabilitation protocols.

Total knee arthroplasty after distal femoral osteotomy: a systematic review and current concepts.

Introduction: Distal Femoral Osteotomy (DFO) is a common procedure for correcting lower limb valgus deformity and lateral compartment overload. Low 20-year survivorship rate was reported with a consequent need for total knee arthroplasty (TKA). This study aims to review literature and to analyse the influence of a previous distal femoral osteotomy on outcomes of patients undergoing TKA.

Comparable clinical and functional outcomes after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction over and under 40 years of age.

Purpose: The aim of the present meta-analysis was to update the literature on the outcomes and complications of ACL reconstruction in patients aged 40 years and older. It has been hypothesized that patients older than 40 years of age may have comparable clinical outcomes to those of younger patients.

Methods: A systematic review of articles from 1996 to 2018 was completed using Pubmed, Medline, Cochrane Reviews, and Google Scholar databases using the keyword terms "anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction" and "middle-aged OR elderly OR over 40 OR age factors.

Reliability of anterior medial collateral ligament plication of the elbow.

Purpose: The aim of this study is to describe a new surgical procedure to plicate the anterior bundle medial collateral ligament (aMCL) into its humeral footprint using a suture anchor, and to present the results of a preliminary clinical series.

Methods: Eight patients with posttraumatic medial elbow pain and signs of medial elbow instability underwent aMCL plication with suture anchors and decompression of ulnar nerve. Arthroscopic evaluation permitted to define signs of minor medial elbow instability; 70°-scope was used to document from an intra-articular point of view of the aMCL status.
