Traditionally, patients with asymptomatic, advanced-stage follicular lymphoma were managed with a watchful-waiting approach until disease progression. The 'Watch and Wait' Phase-3 randomised international trial examined whether rituximab could delay the need for treatment and the effect on quality of life (QoL). In this article, we present the long-term results of the QoL aspect of the trial.

Unlabelled: Fracture-related costs vary by country. A standardized methodology and presentations were proposed to fairly assess the economic burden of osteoporotic fracture. Results indicated substantial costs of osteoporotic fractures for pharmacy, hospitalization, emergency care, and outpatient visits in women aged ≥ 50 years in Australia, Germany, South Korea, Spain, and the USA.

The effects of oil and gas production on adjacent groundwater quality are becoming a concern in many areas of the United States. As a result, it has become increasingly important to identify which aquifers require monitoring and protection. In this study, we map the extent of groundwater with less than 10,000 mg/L TDS both laterally and vertically near the Elk Hills, Buena Vista and Coles Levee Oil Fields in the San Joaquin Valley, California and note evidence of effects of produced water disposal on salinity within the Tulare aquifer.

Background: Arrhythmia syndromes associated with mutations have been described clinically; however, little is known of the underlying arrhythmia mechanism. We create the first patient inspired transgenic mouse and study effects of this mutation on cardiac function, , and Ca handling, to determine the underlying cellular arrhythmic pathogenesis.

Methods: A cardiac-specific -R67Q mouse was generated and bred for heterozygosity (R67Q).
