Radiotherapy (RT), a common cancer treatment, unintentionally harms surrounding tissues, including the skin, and hinders wound healing years after treatment. This study aims to understand the mechanisms behind these late-onset adverse effects. We compare skin biopsies from previously irradiated (RT) and non-irradiated (RT) sites in breast cancer survivors who underwent RT years ago.

The enzyme is synergistically activated by PIP and heterotrimeric Gβγ subunits, but mechanistic details remain poorly understood. While investigating the regulation of P-Rex1 by PIP, we discovered that Ins(1,3,4,5)P (IP) inhibits P-Rex1 activity and induces large decreases in backbone dynamics in diverse regions of the protein.

In "double barrel," uninterrupted Impella exchange, the new device is placed into the ventricle alongside the old, where flow is first transitioned completely. Of 31 consecutive patients undergoing this procedure, none experienced intraoperative cardiac arrest, and 96.

Methods: This retrospective chart review study included 99 adult patients admitted to the UF Health Shands Burn Center from January 2012 through August 2016 with burns of twenty percent or greater TBSA and required enteral nutrition supplementation.
Results: Patients received an average of 137.
Purpose: To describe the implementation of a pharmacy technician career ladder and internal technician training program at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL.
Summary: As the systems for providing care and receiving reimbursement become more complex, the ability to deliver comprehensive care in the most efficient and effective manner is critical. In order to maximize impact, pharmacists must practice at the top of their license.
