A Determination of Salivary and Serum Glucose Levels in Patients With Type II Diabetes Mellitus.

Aim: The aim of this work was to determine and compare serum and salivary glucose levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus (DM).

Material And Methods: This study had an overall sample size of 100, which consisted of male and female volunteers aged 30-67 years. Both in-depth interviews and physical tests were conducted.

A rare case of bleeding disorder: Glanzmann's thrombasthenia.

Background: Glanzmann's thrombasthenia (GT) is a rare bleeding disorder, which is characterized by a lack of platelet aggregation. It is characterized by qualitative or quantitative abnormalities of the platelet membrane glycoprotein IIb/IIIa. Physiologically, this platelet receptor normally binds several adhesive plasma proteins, and this facilitates attachment and aggregation of platelets to ensure thrombus formation at sites of vascular injury.
