Carpal instability is a biomechanical alteration with a multiple pathogenesis which, if not identified and treated in time, leads to gradual articular collapse. Traumatism is known to be one of the main causes of carpal instability, while deposits of microcrystals caused by metabolic (chondrocalcinosis and gout) and congenital (ulna minus variance) diseases are less frequently involved in the pathogenesis. In forms secondary to traumatism, the trauma causes ligamentous injuries that lead to misalignments of the joint surfaces, or badly healed fractures with consequent articular incongruency.

Material And Methods: Four cases of cavernous synovial hemangioma and five of cystic synovial hyperplasia of the knee were studied retrospectively. The patients (5 F and 4 M; 15-25 years of age) all had long-standing knee pain.
Despite the efforts that have been made at an international level to identify and control cardiovascular risk factors, cardiopathies and, in particular, coronary artery disease (CAD), remain the principal cause of death in Europe and the United States. These data confirm the importance and necessity of noninvasive, reliable diagnostic imaging of early CAD. Coronary angiography is still the hinge, around which all instrumental and laboratory investigations turn, for cardiac ischaemia today.

The taxonomy and evolutionary relationships among members of the genus Xanthomonas associated with tomato and pepper have been a matter of considerable controversy since their original description in 1921. These bacteria, which are a major affliction of tomato and pepper crops in warm and humid regions, were originally described as a single species, but subsequent research has shown the existence of at least two genetic groups differentiated by physiological, biochemical and pathological characteristics. This work synthesizes the findings from several approaches, including pathogenicity tests, enzymic activity, restriction fragment analysis of the entire genome, DNA-DNA hybridization and RNA sequence comparisons based on a 2097 base sequence comprising the 16S rRNA gene, the intergenic spacer located between the 16S and 23S rRNA genes and a small region of the 23S rRNA gene.
