OBJECTIVE The goal of this study was to provide insight into the influence of gliomas on gestational outcomes, the impact of pregnancy on gliomas, and the identification of patients at risk. METHODS In this multiinstitutional retrospective study, the authors identified 52 pregnancies in 50 women diagnosed with a glioma. RESULTS For gliomas known prior to pregnancy (n = 24), we found the following: 1) An increase in the quantified imaging growth rates occurred during pregnancy in 87% of cases.

This study compared the safety and efficacy of disc replacement with an unconstrained prosthesis in multi- versus single-level patients. A total of 231 patients with cervical degenerative disc disease (DDD) who were treated with cervical disc replacement and completed their 24 months follow-up were analyzed prospectively: 175 were treated at one level, 56 at 2 levels or more.

Purpose: The goal of this study was to assess the radiological outcomes of a PEEK anchored stand-alone cage (MC+®) with a minimum of 1 year follow-up.
Study Design: A retrospective radiological evaluation.
We report the results of an investigation carried out on the activity of functional neurosurgery of the cranial nerves in the French-speaking countries, based on the analysis of a questionnaire addressed to all the members of the SNCLF. Eighteen centers responded to this questionnaire, which showed that activities and indications varied greatly from one unit to another. The results appear homogeneous and comparable with those reported in the literature.

Plain X-rays, pelvic echography, computerized tomography and MRI were all consistent demonstrating the presence of a 15cm-diameter lesion in the pelvic space with sacral erosion at S3-S4 and extension in the sacral canal up to S2.
