Neither the association between glossal central papillary atrophy and denture stomatitis nor the association between glossal central papillary atrophy and denture use was statistically significant. However, the correlation between wearing removable dental prostheses and finding candidal mycelia in smears from these tongue lesions was statistically highly significant.
