Dissolved oxygen is fundamental for chemical and biochemical processes occurring in natural waters and critical for the life of aquatic organisms. Many organisms are responsible for altering organic matter and oxygen transfers across ecosystem or habitat boundaries and, thus, engineering the oxygen balance of the system. Due to such features as small size, simple structure, vegetative reproduction and rapid growth, as well as frequent mass occurrence in the form of thick mats, they make them very effective in oxygenating water.

Impact of Patient Blood Management on Red Blood Cell Utilization in an Urban Community Teaching Hospital: A Seven-Year Retrospective Study.

Objectives: This study aimed to showcase how implementing a patient blood management (PBM) program effectively cuts unnecessary red blood cell (RBC) transfusions in a New York City urban community teaching hospital.

Methods: Analyzing seven years from 2013 to 2019, a retrospective review of RBC transfusions was conducted.

Results: Following the introduction of PBM, considerable improvements were observed annually.

Background: Incorporating social determinants of health (SDoH) into clinical decision-making can clarify disease causes, enhance care planning, and improve health outcomes. Nurse educators should know which strategies are most effective for teaching SDoH in bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) programs.

Objective: This integrative review synthesizes the literature on familiarizing BSN students with SDoH and identifies effective teaching interventions for SDoH in these programs.

Health-Related Data Sources Accessible to Health Researchers From the US Government: Mapping Review.

Background: Big data from large, government-sponsored surveys and data sets offers researchers opportunities to conduct population-based studies of important health issues in the United States, as well as develop preliminary data to support proposed future work. Yet, navigating these national data sources is challenging. Despite the widespread availability of national data, there is little guidance for researchers on how to access and evaluate the use of these resources.

Barriers to Implementation of Music Listening Interventions for Cancer-Related Phenomena: A Mapping Review.

Despite music listening interventions (MLIs) being recommended in multiple clinical practice guidelines, implementation into oncology clinical practice sites has been slow. This mapping review aimed to critique and identify barriers to MLI clinical implementation, as well as offer practical solutions for both clinicians and researchers. A PRISMA-based mapping review of MLI literature was performed using CINAHL, PubMed, PsycINFO, and Web of Science databases.
