The state of the bats in North America.

The world's rich diversity of bats supports healthy ecosystems and important ecosystem services. Maintaining healthy biological systems requires prompt identification of threats to biodiversity and immediate action to protect species, which for wide-ranging bat species that span geopolitical boundaries warrants international coordination. Anthropogenic forces drive the threats to bats throughout North America and the world.

Resilience in the face of neurodivergence: A scoping review of resilience and factors promoting positive outcomes.

Neurodivergent individuals, including a range of conditions impacting neurological function, are at an increased likelihood of poor life outcomes, such as in functional adaptation, mental health, and well-being. Yet, many live meaningful and fulfilling lives. Resilience may provide some explanation for the heterogeneity in outcomes observed in neurodivergent populations.

Skeletal Muscle Myokine Expression in Critical Illness, Association With Outcome and Impact of Therapeutic Interventions.

Context: Muscle expresses and secretes several myokines that bring about benefits in distant organs.

Objective: We investigated the impact of critical illness on muscular expression of irisin, kynurenine aminotransferases, and amylase; association with clinical outcome; and impact of interventions that attenuate muscle wasting/weakness.

Methods: We studied critically ill patients who participated in 2 randomized controlled trials (EPaNIC/NESCI) and documented time profiles in critically ill mice.

Four-step approach to idea management sequencing: redefining or reinventing values in a business model.

The purpose of this paper is to create and test an idea management sequence framework to reinvent or redefine the value proposition. Idea management with sequencing activities must be considered as a systematic managerial process and should not be confused with the occasional result of an individual with a design thinking mindset. This paper suggests a new approach-a systematic, 4-step idea management sequence to redefine or reinvent value proposition in a business model, which was validated through an action-based research method involving 20 managers from practice by applying the proposed framework.
