Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) is a neuropeptide that is involved in the transmission of pain. Drugs targeting CGRP or a CGRP receptor are efficacious in the treatment of migraine. The canonical CGRP receptor is a complex of a G protein-coupled receptor, the calcitonin-like receptor (CLR), with an accessory protein, receptor activity-modifying protein 1 (RAMP1).

Enhancing Care Transitions for Older People through Interprofessional Simulation: A Mixed Method Evaluation.

Introduction: The educational needs of the health and social care workforce for delivering effective integrated care are important. This paper reports on the development, pilot and evaluation of an interprofessional simulation course, which aimed to support integrated care models for care transitions for older people from hospital to home.

Theory And Methods: The course development was informed by a literature review and a scoping exercise with the health and social care workforce.

Metastatic choriocarcinoma induced separate simultaneous intracerebral haemorrhages: a very rare occurrence and its novel association with Klinefelter syndrome.

Non-traumatic separate simultaneous intracerebral haemorrhages (SSIHs) are rare. Relevant aetiologies are diverse and their diagnosis challenging. We report a unique case of SSIH in an 18-year-old male with a background of previously undiagnosed testicular choriocarcinoma and Klinefelter syndrome.
