Recommendations to Improve Management of Incidental Pulmonary Nodules in Canada: Expert Panel Consensus.

Incidental pulmonary nodules (IPN) are common radiologic findings, yet management of IPNs is inconsistent across Canada. This study aims to improve IPN management based on multidisciplinary expert consensus and provides recommendations to overcome patient and system-level barriers. A modified Delphi consensus technique was conducted.

We conducted a pilot randomized evaluation to examine its usability, and clinical utility.

XRCC1 is involved in repair of single-strand breaks generated by mutagenic exposure. Polymorphisms within XRCC1 affect its ability to efficiently repair DNA damage. Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons or PAHs are genotoxic compounds which form bulky DNA adducts that are linked with infertility.

Incidental pulmonary nodule management in Canada: exploring current state through a narrative literature review and expert interviews.

Background And Objective: Incidental pulmonary nodules (IPNs) are common and increasingly detected with the overall rise of radiologic imaging. Effective IPN management is necessary to ensure lung cancer is not missed. This study aims to describe the current landscape of IPN management in Canada, understand barriers to optimal IPN management, and identify opportunities for improvement.

Breathing pattern disorder in chronic rhinosinusitis with severe asthma: nasal obstruction and polyps do not increase prevalence.

Objectives: Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) with severe asthma are associated with breathing pattern disorder (BPD). Mouth breathing is a sign of breathing pattern disorder, and nose breathing a fundamental part of breathing pattern retraining for BPD. The prevalence of BPD in relation to CRS subtypes and the relationship of nasal obstruction to BPD in CRS and associated severe asthma is unknown.
