Miniature bioelectronic implants promise revolutionary therapies for cardiovascular and neurological disorders. Wireless power transfer (WPT) is a significant method for miniaturization, eliminating the need for bulky batteries in today's devices. Despite successful demonstrations of millimetric battery-free implants in animal models, the robustness and efficiency of WPT are known to degrade significantly under misalignment incurred by body movements, respiration, heart beating, and limited control of implant orientation during surgery.

The fermat-looped orthogonally encoded trajectories (FLORET) sequence addresses these issues with high sampling efficiency, strong signal, and motion robustness, but has not yet been applied to phase-resolved functional lung (PREFUL) MRI-a contrast-free method for assessing pulmonary ventilation during free breathing. This study aims to develop a reconstruction pipeline for FLORET UTE, enhancing spatial resolution for three-dimensional (3D) PREFUL ventilation analysis.

These understudied comorbidities significantly impact quality of life. The impact of highly effective modulator therapy (HEMT) in young children with cystic fibrosis (YCwCF) on these disease complications is unknown.

Available chelators used for this isotope suffer from challenging multistep syntheses. Here, we present the synthesis and preclinical evaluation of a novel bifunctional chelator, SCN-Bn-DOTHOPO, which contains an isothiocyanate group that is suitable for conjugation to biological molecules.

A multitude of imaging modalities are now used to examine underlying structure/function relationships including computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, optical coherence tomography, and endobronchial ultrasound. Imaging-based biomarkers from these techniques, including airway dimensions, blood vessel volumes, mucus scores, ventilation defect extent and air trapping extent, often have increased sensitivity compared to traditional lung function measurements, and are increasingly used as endpoints in clinical trials.
