Adult-onset Still's Disease (AOSD) is a rare autoimmune disorder causing systemic inflammation that presents with a rash, fever, polyarthritis, and a characteristic serum hyperferritinemia. There is a complex relationship between infections and autoimmune disease, however, the association of AOSD with lyme disease is not well established. Here we present a case of AOSD in a 29-year-old male with a recent history of lyme disease.

We present a case of acute psychosis in a patient with panhypopituitarism admitted for adrenal crisis secondary to insufficient glucocorticoid replacement. Three months prior, she was admitted for a similar episode of adrenal crisis and underwent intubation; however, at that time her mental status was normal with no reported episodes of delirium or psychosis. After extubation, she was found to have psychotic symptoms which waxed and waned and were vaguely responsive to antipsychotics.

Several reports indicate either increased or decreased pain sensitivity associated with psychiatric disorders. Chronic pain is highly prevalent in many of these conditions. We reviewed the literature regarding experimental pain sensitivity in patients with major depression, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and schizophrenia.
