Objective: To analyse the risk factors of hypoparathyroidism and hypocalcaemia after total thyroidectomy.

Methods: Clinical data of patients who underwent total thyroidectomy at a tertiary care hospital in southern part of India were collected retrospectively from January 2021 to May 2023. Multivariate logistic regression was used to analyse the risk factors associated with transient hypoparathyroidism and hypocalcaemia separately.

Background Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the maxillary alveolus and hard palate is a rare site for oral cavity carcinoma. Much controversy is there regarding the management of this site and elective neck dissection due to rarity and complex lymphatic drainage. Objective To estimate the prevalence of neck nodal metastasis in squamous cell carcinoma of maxillary alveolus and hard palate and the factors influencing the nodal metastasis.
