Introduction: The history of the treatment of neoplastic metastases and its evolution over more than one hundred years has raised many doubts as to the purposefulness of such management. The main problem that made it difficult to draw certain statistically confirmed conclusions was the inability to conduct prospective studies. Background: Pulmonary veins (PVs) are important during segmentectomy. Many case reports prove that they may be the source of bleeding during surgery, especially when anatomical variants are present. Background: Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) occurs in 1% to 8% of liver transplant recipients. It is one of the most frequent life-threatening fungal infections in immunocompromised patients, with a reported mortality rate of approximately 60%.
