Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) remains a malignancy with high rates of locoregional recurrence and poor prognosis for recurrent cases. Early detection of subclinical lesions is challenging but critical for effective patient management. Imaging surveillance after treatment, particularly F-FDG PET/CT, has shown promise in the diagnosis of HNSCC recurrence.

Background: The estimation of gastric content in third trimester pregnant women has already been studied, conclusions remain contradictory. The aim of this study was to compare gastric content in pregnant and non-pregnant women using gastric ultrasound. We performed an observational two-center study of women scheduled for a cesarean section (CS group) and of non-pregnant women scheduled for hysteroscopy (HS group).

Influence of X-Ray Irradiation During Photoemission Studies on Halide Perovskite-Based Devices.

Metal halide perovskites (MHPs) are semiconductors with promising application in optoelectronic devices, particularly, in solar cell technologies. The chemical and electronic properties of MHPs at the surface and interfaces with adjacent layers dictate charge transfer within stacked devices and ultimately the efficiency of the latter. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy is a powerful tool to characterize these material properties.
