Tissue-resident memory T (T) cells are a specialized T cell population that reside in tissues and provide a rapid protective response upon activation. Here, we showed that human and mouse CD4 T cells existed in a poised state and stored messenger RNAs encoding proinflammatory cytokines without protein production. At steady state, cytokine mRNA translation in T cells was suppressed by the integrated stress response (ISR) pathway.

Objective: We aimed to evaluate if the prophylactic application of a haemostatic gel to the resection field directly after EMR can reduce the rate of clinically significant delayed bleeding events.
Design: We conducted a prospective randomised trial of patients undergoing hot-snare EMR of flat lesions in the duodenum (≥10 mm) and colorectum (≥20 mm) at 15 German centres.
Malignant pleural effusion is a common diagnosis in metastasized cancers. It is always of palliative character. Main symptoms are dyspnoea and reduced quality of life.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFIon optics are crucial for spectrometric methods such as mass spectrometry (MS) and ion mobility spectrometry (IMS). Among the wide selection of ion optics, temporal ion gates are of particular importance for time-of-flight MS (TOF-MS) and drift-tube IMS. Commonly implemented as electrostatic ion gates, these optics offer a rapid, efficient means to block ion beams and form discrete ion packets for subsequent analysis.
