Purpose: Normal tissue changes (NTC) of the normal lung parenchyma are commonly seen after stereotactic single-dose radiotherapy (radiosurgery) of lung tumors. The aim of this study was to investigate the extent and dynamics of NTCs after radiosurgery.
Methods And Materials: Fifty lung tumors in 49 patients were treated with radiosurgery.
We report a case of congenital embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (ERMS), a rare form of rhabdomyosarcoma, featuring a karyotype with a t(2;8)(q35;q13) in a 2-week-old male infant. This is the third reported case of congenital ERMS with cytogenetic findings. The previous cases also showed a similar or possibly identical translocation.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFA new polyacetylene carboxylic acid, 13(E),17-octadecadiene-9,11-diynoic acid (13,14-dihydrooropheic acid, 1), and the known 17-octadecene-9,11,13-triynoic acid (oropheic acid, 2) were isolated from the stem bark of Mitrephora celebica through bioassay-guided fractionation. Both compounds demonstrated significant activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Mycobacterium smegmatis.

Twelve taste repellents and 3 oral emetics were tested. The taste repellents were capsaicin, capsicum, oleoresin, sucrose octaacetate, quinine tonic, quassia wood extract, vanillamide, horseradish extract, caffeine, pepperoni enhancer, acorn extract, and commercially available bitter and hot flavors. The emetics tested were: antimony potassium tartrate, apomorphine, and copper sulfate.
