Friendships are an important aspect of social inclusion and can have a positive influence on a child's social and emotional wellbeing beyond childhood. A Microboard is a formal approach to building supportive relationships for people with intellectual disability. Establishing a Microboard during childhood may facilitate a peer support network that endures into adulthood.

Background: To deliver implementable, meaningful research and advance knowledge, different stakeholders need to be brought together regularly via a suitable platform or community of practice. The Liverpool Dementia & Ageing Research Forum, set up in 2019, is a public/professional community of practice, providing in-person and remote events and activities to connect people living with dementia, unpaid carers, health and social care professionals, Third Sector representatives and commissioners. Introduction: In the United States, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) ranked high in terms of possibly preventable hospital deaths. Victims of trauma were at a higher risk of developing thromboembolic complications, and thus various agents were used for prophylaxis. Multiple studies recommended holding these agents in the perioperative period to decrease the potential complications of additional bleeding, wound issues, hematoma etc.
