Our study aimed to investigate the role of lactate dehydrogenase B (LDHB), which mainly catalyzes the conversion of lactate to pyruvate, in the metastatic potential of lung cancer. We found that LDHB silencing reduced the invasion and migration ability of lung cancer cells in vitro.

The ECC in addition to LLETZ can serve to detect (pre)cancerogenic lesions above the endocervical cone margin, although its predictive value as well as diagnostic accuracy remains vague due to limited studies performed on this topic. In this retrospective cohort study, 1121 patients who underwent LLETZ and concomitant ECC during a twelve-year period (2009-2021) were analyzed.

Methods: We drew on our prospectively managed database to review 43,360 consecutive thyroid surgeries.
