Ultrasound has emerged as a valuable imaging modality for evaluating ligamentous injuries around the ankle joint, offering several advantages over traditional imaging techniques. It is more cost-effective and widely available than MRI, and it avoids the ionizing radiation exposure associated with X-rays, making it a safer option, particularly for pediatric and adolescent populations. In cases of inversion ankle sprains, ultrasound allows for more accurate assessment of the anterior talofibular ligament (ATFL) and calcaneofibular ligament (CFL) compared to X-rays and manual examination and yields diagnostic results comparable to MRI.

We determined the movement patterns of three abundant salmonids-Brown Trout (), Mountain Whitefish (), and Rainbow Trout ()-in the Smith River watershed of Montana. We tagged 7,172 fish with passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags, monitored their movements past 15 stationary PIT arrays over four years, and located tagged fish between arrays by conducting mobile surveys. Movement patterns varied seasonally, among species, and among locations.

Psychological safety (PS) has been linked with learning behaviors and aspects of well-being within medicine; however, given the unique challenges inherent to the surgical learning environment, there is a need to more closely examine these concepts for surgical faculty and trainees. The objective of this study is to examine the relationships between learning environment and PS, as well as PS and well-being with surgery.
