The emergence of immunotherapy has ushered in a new era in the management of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Various immune check point inhibitors have demonstrated significant benefit in the management of locally advanced NSCLC that are treated with either surgery or concurrent chemoradiation. We provide a comprehensive and up-to-date review of data from key studies, discuss the challenging clinical issue regarding the timing and duration of immunotherapy in patients undergoing surgery, and highlight the unmet needs and future directions of immunotherapy in NSCLC.

This work explores the potential for additive manufacturing to be used to fabricate ultraviolet light-blocking or photocatalytic materials with in situ resource utilization, using a titania foam as a model system. Direct foam writing was used to deposit titania-based foam lines in microgravity using parabolic flight. The wet foam was based on titania primary particles and a titania precursor (Ti (IV) bis(ammonium lactato) dihydroxide).

The aim of the current study was to describe the risk of hepatotoxicity for patients with gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors undergoing peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) with a very high liver tumor burden, defined as tumor involving more than 75% of the liver. We conducted a retrospective analysis of 371 patients who received at least 1 cycle of Lu-DOTATATE at Mayo Clinic for advanced gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. We identified 15 total patients with more than 75% liver involvement on Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT and with either a contrast-enhanced abdominal MRI or dual-phase abdominal CT examination.

Background: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are an effective nonopiate option for pain control. However, the antiplatelet aggregation of cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) inhibitors presents a concern in that they may exacerbate bleeding in patients with solid organ injuries.

Objective: The aim of the study is to evaluate the impact of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs on blunt solid organ injury.
