Background: Nail unit melanoma (NUM) is increasingly treated with digit-sparing surgery, but few published case series describe Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) for NUM.

Objective: To describe the surgical technique, local recurrence rates, and reconstruction method for a large series of NUM treated with MMS using MART-1 immunostaining.

Methods: Biopsy-proven NUM treated with MMS-MART-1 were identified from a prospectively maintained database (2008-2023).

Few studies have examined outcomes for Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) for cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) in Black versus White patients. We compared time to surgery and defect sizes after MMS between Black versus White patients with cSCC. Patients with biopsy-proven cSCC treated with MMS at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania were identified from a prospectively maintained database (2006-2023).

This study investigates the influence of heat treatments on the corrosion behaviour of CuSn10 tin bronze, additively manufactured using Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF). LPBF enables the creation of finely structured, anisotropic microstructures, whose corrosion behaviour is not yet well understood. After production, specimens were heat-treated at 320 °C, 650 °C, and in a two-stage treatment at 800 °C and 400 °C, followed by hardness and microstructure analysis.

Understanding patient non-adherence to prescribed antibiotics can inform clinical practices, patient counseling, and antibiotic efficacy study design in dermatology. The primary objective was to determine the rate of and reasons for antibiotic non-adherence in the dermatologic surgery setting. The secondary objective was to test the applicability of previously studied survey questions for antibiotic non-adherence screening in the dermatologic surgery setting.
