[Perspective of peer helpers regarding their experience animating a self-treatment program for panic disorders].

Objective: Support groups can help to reach individuals with anxiety disorders who are not or are only partly obtaining health services. The present study is based on a program that involves peer helpers as animators of a self-treatment group (Zéro-ATAQ). Their perspective has been documented in order to identify the aspects of the program which can be improved.

Homocysteine is an amino acid that is toxic to vascular endothelial cells, and plasma elevations have been associated with venous thromboembolism. Severe hyperhomocysteinemia (>100 μmol/L) may result from mutations in the genes coding for enzymes in the trans-sulfuration or the folate/vitamin B12-dependent re-methylation pathways. Here, we report the case of a young woman with severe, recurrent thrombo-embolic events associated with severe hyperhomocysteinemia (111 μmol/L).

Conception and evolution of stereocontrolled strategies toward functionalized 8-aryloctanoic acids related to the total synthesis of aliskiren.

A detailed account is given describing the approaches used toward the total synthesis of aliskiren. In particular, ring-closing metathesis with the Hoveyda-Grubbs catalyst accelerates the formation of a 9-membered lactone from an (R)-ester. Evaluation of a new integrated discharge prescription form.

Objective: To determine whether a new discharge prescription form which integrates admission medications, in-hospital changes, and discharge medications could enhance the accuracy of information in patient profiles in community pharmacies after hospital discharge.

Design: Nonrandomized, prospective, multi-site study.
