Inspired by the continuous regeneration of enzymes in living organisms that enables sustained long-term enzymatic reactions, we propose an active site regeneration strategy to rapidly and in-situ recover the catalytic activity of oxygen evolution reaction (OER) for the electrode through switching anode solution, to substantially prolong the service life of the electrolytic cell. The OER activity of anodic NiFe(S)/NM catalyst synthesized by coating S-doped NiFe-LDH on nickel mesh (NM) exhibited excellent initial activity, then experienced gradual active site and activity losses due to the nanosheet detachment from NMs after a long-term OER process. Attractively, such a damaged catalyst and its active sites can be effectively regenerated by in-situ redox reaction followed by electrochemical oxidation through switching the anode into the different solutions, resulting in the full recovery of the OER activity to its initial value.

Palmatine (PAL), as an active ingredient in traditional Chinese medicine, had been demonstrated efficacy in ameliorating the manifestations of AD. Our research group has previously designed and synthesized the novel oxo-PAL derivative 2q and found that it has exhibited notable neuroprotective properties. However, compound 2q therapeutic impact on AD remains uncertain.

The novelty of e-cigarette regulatory policy poses difficulties for evidence-informed decision making because there is little evaluative evidence on the effects of specific policies. One way to provide evidence to inform Canadian policy in this situation is to learn from users how they would behave under different policy scenarios without actually implementing those policies in real-world settings. Discrete Choice Experiments provide an opportunity to undertake this research.

Low-symmetry metal-organic cages (MOCs) can better mimic the structure of biological enzymes compared to high-symmetry MOCs, due to their unique internal cavities that resemble the specialized and irregular active sites of enzymes. In this study, two low-symmetry heteroleptic MOCs with six Pd(ii) centers, PdL L and PdL L , were successfully constructed by combining two strategies: asymmetric ligand assembly and multi-ligand co-assembly. Crystallographic characterization and analysis revealed that PdL L is a mixture of potentially 16 isomers.

Introduction: Endophytic fungi exhibit diverse interactions with plants, from pathogenic to mutualistic symbiosis, and the community composition is regulated by phytohormones. Yet, the composition and dynamics of endophytic fungi in (PPC) during fresh seed (FD), sand-stored seed (SSD), and seedling (SS) stages remain unclear. Similarly, the overall impact of phytohormones on the management of endophytic fungal communities is yet to be elucidated.
