Hypoxia severely limits the antitumor immunotherapy for breast cancer. Although efforts to alleviate tumor hypoxia and drug delivery using diverse nanostructures achieve promising results, the creation of a versatile controllable oxygen-releasing nano-platform for co-delivery with immunostimulatory molecules remains a persistent challenge. To address this problem, a versatile oxygen controllable releasing vehicle PFOB@F127@PDA (PFPNPs) is developed, which effectively co-delivered either protein drug lactate oxidase (LOX) or nucleic acids drug unmethylated cytosine-phosphate-guanine oligonucleotide (CpG ODNs).

Method: From January 2022 to May 2023, children who underwent open-heart surgery for the repair of congenital ventricular septal defect in our department were selected for a propensity score-matched study. The propensity score matching method was utilized to pair children in the right vertical axillary incision group with those undergoing surgery via median sternotomy at a 1:1 ratio, based on age and weight.
The development of point-of-care testing (POCT) methods is highly desirable in molecular detection, as they enable disease diagnosis and biomarker monitoring on-site or at home. Repurposing existing POCT devices to detect diverse biomarkers is an economical way to develop new devices for POCT use. Personal glucose meter (PGM) is one of the most used off-the-shelf POCT devices that has been reused to detect non-glucose targets.

The Wnt pathway plays a key role in various physiological processes such as embryonic development, tissue renewal and regeneration. In the regulation of Wnt/β-catenin, Forkhead box k1(FOXK1), Frizzled class receptor 3 (FZD3), and Wnt5b can be targeted and inhibited by three tRFs: tRF3008A targets FOXK1 to inhibit colorectal cancer (CRC), 5'-tiRNAVal targets FZD3 to inhibit breast cancer (BrC), and tRF-22-8BWS7K092 targets Wnt5b to induce ferroptosis in lung cells.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAtomic force microscopy (AFM) is widely used for the imaging and characterization of biological cells because of its nanoscale spatial resolution and force resolution. However, in the previous studies, the inability to effectively detect the contractile work of cardiomyocytes and the 3D dynamic expressions of their contraction and relaxation behaviors posed significant challenges. Therefore, this work presents a method for the analysis of the contractile work of a single cardiomyocyte by AFM.
