Introduction: We aimed to determine acceptability and feasibility of innovative wearable alcohol biosensor monitors (ABM) for patients with alcohol-related liver disease (ALD) and their clinicians.
Methods: Patients and clinicians at a tertiary care centre participated in qualitative interviews on usability, acceptability, feasibility, efficiency/effectiveness, impact of device on behaviour/clinical practice and preferences/barriers. Interviews were audiotaped, transcribed and coded using a constant comparison method for category themes.

Delirium is a serious consequence of many acute or worsening chronic medical conditions, a side effect of medications, and a precipitant of worsening functional and cognitive status in older adults. It is a syndrome characterized by fluctuations in cognition and impaired attention that develops over a short period of time in response to an underlying medical condition, a substance (prescribed, over the counter, or recreational), or substance withdrawal and can be multi-factorial. We present a narrative review of the literature on nonpharmacologic and pharmacologic approaches to prevention and treatment of delirium with a focus on older adults as a vulnerable population.

The goal of this study was to survey individuals with PD about their use of the nutraceuticals and evaluate the association of the nutraceutical with the severity of symptoms.
Methods: Participants with self-reported idiopathic PD within the 2021 cohort ( = 1084) were included in a cross-sectional study to assess association of nutraceuticals with symptom severity via linear regression analysis.

Rapidly progressive periodontitis is a form of early onset periodontitis characterised by severe gingival inflammation and rapid bone loss. Release of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) from the outer membrane of Gram negative bacteria initiates various biological activities including complement activation, cytotoxicity, and bone resorption. Serum from rapidly progressive periodontitis patients has been reported to enhance the superoxide response of normal neutrophils to lipopolysaccharide purified from Porphyromonas gingivalis, compared to control serum.
