Associations between Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging with Histopathological Features in Cholangiocarcinoma.

Introduction: The relationships between histopathology and imaging remain elusive, and investigating the underlying reasons for tumor microstructure leading to an imaging phenotype is of clinical importance. In the present study, a cross-sectional guided biopsy specimen was used to correlate prebioptic magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with immunohistochemical staining of the histopathologic specimen using precise spatial biopsy localization.

Methods: Twenty-seven patients with mass-forming cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) were included in the present analysis.

Tracking Native Ribozyme Folding with Fluorescence.

Folding of the group I intron ribozyme and other structured RNAs has been measured using a catalytic activity assay to monitor the native state formation by cleavage of a radiolabeled oligonucleotide substrate. While highly effective, the assay has inherent limitations present in any radioactivity- and gel-based assay. Administrative and safety considerations arise from the radioisotope, and data collection is laborious due to the use of polyacrylamide gels.

[Time to Antibiotics (TTA) - Reassessment from the German Working Group for Fever and Neutropenia in Children and Adolescents (DGPI/GPOH)].

Background: The current German guidance from 2016 recommends a Time to Antibiotics (TTA) of<60 min in children and adolescents with febrile neutropenia (FN).

Methods: Critical analysis of available studies and recent meta-analyses, and discussion of the practical consequences in the FN working group of the German Societies for Paediatric Oncology and Haematology and Paediatric Infectious Diseases.

Results: The available evidence does not support a clinically significant outcome benefit of a TTA<60 min in all paediatric patients with FN.

Introduction: To assess the observed to expected lung area to head circumference ratio (O/E LHR) in fetuses with congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract (CAKUT) and to explore its value as a potential predictive factor for postnatal outcome.

Methods: A retrospective single-center study was conducted on pregnancies complicated by CAKUT between 2007 and 2018. The lung-to-head ratio (LHR) was calculated for each fetus by two independent observers.
