A theoretical perspective on grandiose narcissism suggests four forms of it (sanctity, admiration, heroism, rivalry) and states that these forms conduce to different ways of thinking and acting. Guided by this perspective, we examined in a multinational and multicultural study (61 countries; N = 15,039) how narcissism forms are linked to cognitions and behaviors prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic. As expected, differences in cognitions and behaviors across narcissism forms emerged.

The ability to engineer cavity-mediated interactions has emerged as a powerful tool for the generation of non-local correlations and the investigation of non-equilibrium phenomena in many-body systems. Levitated optomechanical systems have recently entered the multiparticle regime, which promises the use of arrays of strongly coupled massive oscillators to explore complex interacting systems and sensing. Here we demonstrate programmable cavity-mediated interactions between nanoparticles in vacuum by combining advances in multiparticle optical levitation and cavity-based quantum control.

HgCdTe is a well-known material for state-of-the-art infrared photodetectors. The interd-iffused multilayer process (IMP) is used for Metal-Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) of HgCdTe heterostructures, enabling precise control of composition. In this method, alternating HgTe and CdTe layers are deposited, and they homogenize during growth due to interdiffusion, resulting in a near-uniform material.
