To investigate the impact of age on the metabolomic profile of loggerhead sea turtles (), this study analyzed 100 plasma samples of individuals across two age groups-50 post-hatchlings and 50 juveniles-from various locations along the Mediterranean coastline. Both targeted and untargeted metabolomic analyses were performed on the samples. Our results demonstrated a significant age-related effect on the metabolomic profiles in both analyses.

Context: The vegetation composition of northeastern North American forests has significantly changed since pre-settlement times, with a marked reduction in conifer-dominated stands, taxonomic and functional diversity. These changes have been attributed to fire regime shifts, logging, and climate change.

Methods: In this study, we disentangled the individual effects of these drivers on the forest composition in southwestern Quebec from 1830 to 2000 by conducting retrospective modelling using the LANDIS-II forest landscape model.

High defect concentrations at the interfaces are the basis of charge extraction losses and instability in perovskite solar cells. Surface engineering with organic cations is a common practice to solve this issue. However, the full implications of the counteranions of these cations for device functioning are often neglected.

Background: Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25[OH]D) concentrations have been shown to be low in patients with migraine, but results are controversial regarding the current role of vitamin D in migraine severity. Using a case-control design, we aimed to evaluate serum 25(OH)D levels in a group of females with high-frequency episodic migraine/chronic migraine (HF/CM) and analyze its association with headache frequency and serum calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) levels.

Methods: Serum 25(OH)D levels were measured in 97 females with HF/CM (age 48.

Objectives: To provide a narrative review of disordered lymphatic dynamics and its impact on critical care relevant condition management.

Data Sources: Detailed search strategy using PubMed and Ovid Medline for English language articles (2013-2023) describing congenital or acquired lymphatic abnormalities including lymphatic duct absence, injury, leak, or obstruction and their associated clinical conditions that might be managed by a critical care medicine practitioner.

Study Selection: Studies that specifically addressed abnormalities of lymphatic flow and their management were selected.
