Paenibacillus larvae is the causative agent of American Foulbrood (AFB), the most severe bacterial disease affecting honey bee (Apis mellifera) larvae. It was first reported in Uruguay in 1999. Here, we summarize the monitoring strategy carried out from 2001 to date, based on nationwide surveys sampling honey from colonies (2001/2002, 2011, 2021) or from honey storage tanks (2014-2019).

Honey bee colonies form a complex superorganism, with individual and social immune defences that control overall colony health. Sometimes these defences are not enough to overcome infections by parasites and pathogens. For that reason, several studies have been conducted to evaluate different strategies to improve honey bee health.

Although initiatives based on clinical indicators for assessing the quality of mental healthcare have been developed by transnational-organisations, there is still no widespread practice of measuring the quality of care pathways delivered to patients with severe mental disorders in a community-oriented system, especially using administrative healthcare databases. The aim of the study is to evaluate the quality of care delivered to patients with personality disorders taken-in-care by mental health services of four Italian regions (Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Lazio, Sicily).

This monomer has a contorted structure that produces a non-linear shape, hindering the packing of the polymer chain. Aromatic polyimides of high molecular weight were obtained by reaction with the commercial diamine 2,2-bis(4-aminophenyl) hexafluoropropane, 6FpDA, which is a very common monomer in gas separation applications.

These polymers were characterized and compared with the homopolymer derived from 6FDA and CFTBAPB. All copolyimides showed high molecular weight values and good mechanical properties.
