Managing chronic myeloid leukemia during pregnancy presents significant challenges, with limited treatment options available depending on the stage of pregnancy. All existing tyrosine kinase inhibitors are considered teratogenic, especially during the first trimester and should be avoided. In this case report, we detail the successful, unplanned dichorionic diamniotic twin pregnancy of a patient with chronic-phase myeloid leukemia previously resistant to imatinib and dasatinib who was exposed to the allosteric tyrosine kinase inhibitor asciminib during the early weeks of gestation.

Methods: This was a prospective, controlled, randomized, non-blinding feasibility study that involved the use of electronic BP monitor and smartphone. Eligible participants in the intervention group were instructed to send the BP measurements to members of the LifeAPP team digitally from an application for smartphones linked to the BP device by Bluetooth and also via WhatsApp.
Background: The purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics of the NIH-funded grant portfolio focused on cancer and accelerated aging.
Methods: Research project grants focused on cancer survivors and aging trajectories that were newly funded during fiscal years 2013 through 2023 were identified by first using a text mining algorithm from the NIH Research, Condition, and Disease Categorization (RCDC) system with cancer survivorship-relevant terms and then a list of aging-related terms that included aging, neurocognition, and physical function. Included grants were double coded to extract study characteristics.

Objective: The current study aimed to describe risk factors for adverse perinatal outcomes (APOs) among pregnant women nonvaccinated for COVID-19 who had respiratory symptoms.
Methods: A nested case-control study was performed within the REBRACO (in Portuguese, the Brazilian Network of COVID-19 During Pregnancy) initiative. Women were recruited during pregnancy in 15 maternity hospitals in Brazil from February 1, 2020, to February 28, 2021, while seeking medical care for respiratory symptoms, and were followed up until childbirth regardless of confirmation of COVID-19.
Purpose: Rare cancers are defined as those for which there are less than 15 cases per 100,000 in the population annually. While much progress in detection and treatment has been made over the past decade for many rare cancers, less progress has been made in understanding survivorship needs. The objective of this study was to characterize the National Institutes of Health (NIH) cancer survivorship grant portfolio focused on rare cancers and to identify gaps specific to this area of science.
